Once you have the privilege to get to know a new city a second or third time, you become aware of its aura much more intensely. The atmosphere of many places slowly seems familiar and your eyes turn away from the obvious to the tiny details.
Spitalfields, a very lively part of London's East End, was a completely unknown place to me before. Along Brick Lane, the colorful impressions just rained down on me. Fortunately, I could take a lot of time with my camera at the Old Spitalfields Market, The Brick Lane Food Hall and the Brick Lane Sunday Market.
A bit more relaxed, however, I could walk around the area around Borough Market and China Town and again focus more on the people and the street.
