My Halide Workflow
Here is my easy workflow to transfer RAWs I made with Halide to the Mac to finally edit and manage them with Lightroom Classic.
There are two basic ways I use to transfer RAW files to my Mac and then edit them with Adobe Lightroom Classic: Option 1 via AirDrop and Option 2 using USB-C mass storage, which is currently only available on the iPhone Pro models.
Personally, I use AirDrop for a few photos, for more than ~ 50 photos I use an external USB-C SSD.
- Open the Halide app
- Go to the gallery view
- Select the pictures you want to transfer I haven't found a way to transfer only RAWs yet, so the JPGs are also transferred.
- Share the images via AirDrop or use the ‘Save to files’ option. If you choose ‘Save to files’, you still need to select the external USB-C SSD.
- Import only the RAWs into Lightroom using your preferred method
So, that's it. With these simple steps, you have your images on your Mac and can edit them in Lightroom and, of course, save them to your backup.
