Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 4.0
Why a Creative Commons licence?
I want you to see the moment as I saw it. I would like to share this view and the final photo with you. So why should this moment just belong to me? That's why I decided to use a Creative Commons licence for my photos.
By using the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence, I clarify to everyone what is allowed and what is not allowed with my photos. With this, I give all non-commercial interested individuals greater freedom as a copyright and ancillary copyright holder. This means that everyone is allowed to do more than is already permitted under German copyright law.
You are free to
- Share — copy and redistribute my photos in any medium or format.
- Attribution — You must give appropriate credit , provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- NonCommercial — You may not use the material for any commercial purposes.
- NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
- No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.
Questions?
Are you unsure what all this means for you?
You would like to use my photos for commercial purposes?
If so, please contact me and I will be happy to clarify these things with you. Thank you.
Did I take a photo of you on the street?
Did I give you my card after I photographed you?
Once again thanks for letting me take the photo, great. You can download the photo here without asking me and use it for private purposes as long as you comply with the BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence. If you would like to have the photo without the watermark, just drop me a line and I will send it to you in full resolution.
